francis Jiya

Francis holds an MSc. in Agribusiness Management obtained from the University of Malawi-Bunda College. He brings to the team 8 years experience of working  as  an Agribusiness Specialist and Researcher.

Francis has worked with different organizations both local and intertional including the World Bank, Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO-Rome), UNDP, United States Forest Service (USFS), Save the Children-ITALY, Bocconi University, University of Reading (UoR), the Ministry of Agriculture, GIZ, LUANAR among many others.

Francis is highly competent in conducting Value Chain Analyses (VCA), Business Plan Development (Business Development  Service Provision), Inclusive Business Models, conducting study evaluations (Baselines, Mid-term, Endline), Data analysis using STATA, R, SPSS. He is also a programmer of different CAPI mobile applications including Kobo Toolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Survey Solutions and CsPro. He currently consultants for government’s flagship projects, such as the Agricultural Commercialization and Shire Valle Transformation Projects, as an agribusiness consultant offering Business Development Services.
